The most popular athlete on Facebook’s buzz ranking list for the Winter Olympics was snowboarder Shaun White, while ice hockey was the sport that generated the most buzz, and the demographic that discussed the Olympics the most was men 18 through 34.

The top five Olympic athletes by Facebook buzz ranking were, according to a post on Facebook’s Newsroom:

  1. White
  2. T.J. Oshie
  3. Yuna Kim
  4. Jenny Jones
  5. Carey Price

The top five sports, in terms of mentions from Feb. 6 to 23, were:

  1. Ice hockey
  2. Figure skating
  3. Bobsled
  4. Curling
  5. Luge

And the top five demographic groups buzzing about the Games were:

  1. Men 18 through 34
  2. Women 18 through 34
  3. Women 35 through 49
  4. Men 35 through 49
  5. Women 50-plus
