ZZ Ward Harmonizes With Facebook’s Open Graph

The most innovative use of Facebook’s Open Graph by a musical artist goes to … ZZ Ward, for her 365 Days of ZZ Ward application.

According to Mashable, once receiving permission to access users’ Facebook accounts, the app searches for status updates, photos, and videos related to Ward, awarding points toward the unlocking of exclusive content.

When users first activate 365 Days of ZZ Ward, they receive access to four videos and one free MP3 download of an unreleased song, Mashable reported.

Mashable added that Ward was named a must-see artist at the recent South by Southwest festival, and Disney Music Group Director of Digital Marketing Brian Ressler told Mashable of the app:

The app will actually get better over time as more fans connect to it and new ZZ content is added.

Ressler added that new content will be added around every three weeks.
