After A Like, Facebook Recommends More Pages Users Might Like

Facebook is constantly trying to find ways for users to like more pages. The latest, as first reported by sister site Inside Facebook, is by prompting users to like similar pages after they click like on a page’s timeline.

On some pages, when users click like, they are then prompted to like similar pages. If it’s the page of a local business, Facebook will suggest other businesses nearby. If it’s a page for a movie, the site will suggest other entertainment pages the user might like.

When a user mouses over a suggestion (see iTunes below), there’s the familiar image of the thumbs-up. A user could like the page with one click. By clicking “see all” on the right, users see a full page of pages they might like, broken down by categories and local check-ins.

This does not apply to community pages — unclaimed pages that are not moderated by users.
