Facebook Android App Update Includes Privacy Settings Icon, Structured Status Updates, Ability To Edit Posts

AndroidLogo2The privacy settings icon we reported on Wednesday is part of a minor update Facebook released for its Android application, and sister blog Inside Facebook reported that the update also extends the availability of structured status updates, as well as the ability for users to edit their status updates.

The privacy settings icon appears next to users’ names, and, much like the identical icon on the desktop version of Facebook, clicking on it brings users to their privacy settings.

The ability to edit posts and the structured status updates with emoticons were beta-tested earlier this month.

Android users: Are you excited about these new features?
