BBC Launches Facebook Timeline App In Run-Up To 2012 Summer Olympic Games In London

BBC is gearing up for its home country to host the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London with the launch of a timeline application, currently available only in the U.K., which will feature live-streaming of events.

TechCrunch was the first to report on the app, which is currently in beta form and streaming tennis from the Wimbledon Championships.

According to TechCrunch, the BBC app will allow users to watch events, comment on them in real-time, participate in live chats, and read comments from other users. Feeds can be shared by liking them.
