Facebook, IPO Among Bing’s Most-Searched Terms Of 2012

Although Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t have the tabloid-turning power of Kim Kardashian or Justin Bieber, Facebook was among Bing’s most-searched terms of the year.

The year isn’t over yet, but that didn’t stop Bing (which has been a solid partner with Facebook) from putting out its annual list.

Facebook topped the list of Bing’s most-searched social networks, with Twitter coming in second, and Facebook-owned Instagram placing sixth:

  1. Facebook
  2. Twitter
  3. MySpace
  4. LinkedIn
  5. Tumblr
  6. Instagram
  7. Reddit
  8. StumbleUpon
  9. Digg
  10. Klout

Facebook’s much-hyped initial public offering was also one of the most-searched news stories of the year:

  1. iPhone 5
  2. 2012 Elections
  3. 2012 Olympic Games
  4. Hurricane Sandy
  5. Honey Boo Boo Reality Show
  6. Gangnam Style Dance
  7. KONY 2012
  8. Academy Awards
  9. Kindle Fire HD
  10. Facebook IPO
