Campbell Soup Exec Scalds Facebook’s Ad Sales Team

Facebook is apparently in the soup at Campbell Soup, as its global director of digital marketing and social media, Adam Kmiec, tore into the social network during Business Insider’s Social Media ROI Conference in New York Thursday.

According to Business Insider, Kmiec took Facebook to task for its communications, or lack thereof, as well as its lack of data for advertisers prior to its initial public offering.

Kmiec said, as reported by Business Insider:

(I have) never seen anything as ADD as Facebook. Before they were public, you couldn’t get Facebook on the phone. It’s interesting what happens when you actually have to show your numbers. Oh, we might actually have to have salespeople.

Kmiec had nicer things to say about rival social network Twitter:

The product was made to benefit people through the eyes of brands. If you ever want to be blown away, ask Twitter to show data on a social trend. It’s fast.
