Canadian Politician's Facebook Page Has Porn Links

David Gordon, a Canadian conservative party candidate in Alberton-Roseville, says he didn’t know that there were two adult website links on his profile Facebook page.

The candidate is vehemently denying any knowledge of the links is red-faced and scratching his head as to how they wound up on his account in the first place.

The discovery of the links to the Facebook pages Kiss the Girls and Gypsy Mermaids under the candidate’s activities and interests sections was made by The Charlottetown Guardian.

As soon as Gordon learned about the links, he immediately deleted them. He addressed reporters after a caucus meeting on Wednesday, he first apologized and then stated, that he had nothing but the utmost respect for women.

He stressed the fact that he was bewildered as to how the links wound up on his Facebook page.

Gordon’s experience serves as a lesson not just for politicians but anyone who’s got a page on Facebook: Monitor your wall. Constantly.

The head of Gordon’s party happens to be female, and the leader, Olivie Crane, told the Canadian Press she’s on his side.

The Canadian Press quoted her saying that Gordon “explained to us that he had done a Facebook (page) and he really felt there was some stuff that he had no idea about that was totally inappropriate.”

Crane has advised all of her candidates to thoroughly scour their Facebook accounts and to ensure that their accounts exhibit a positive social media presence.

Readers, do you think the adult links were a prank posting?
