Facebook’s Carolyn Everson To Spend Six Months In London, Hire Replacement For Joanna Shields

According to reports, Facebook Vice President of Global Marketing Solutions Carolyn Everson will relocate from New York to London for six months in an effort to find a replacement for VP and Managing Director for Europe, the Mideast, and Africa Joanna Shields, who announced in October that she was leaving the social network to join Tech City Investment Organisation.

Business Insider reported the news of Everson’s temporary move, adding that it has heard that Facebook’s ad sales in the U.S. will continue to be overseen by VP of Sales Tom Arrix.

The social network’s revenue in Europe slipped to $341 million in the third quarter of 2012 after reaching $361 million in the fourth quarter of 2011, according to Business Insider, which added that the move will also allow Everson to spend more time dealing with large international clients and European ad agencies, such as Unilever, Nestlé, Diageo, WPP Group, and Publicis Groupe.
