Jetman on Facebook

JetmanAs you may have noticed, I haven’t had many posts today. That’s because I’ve been looking for interesting things to cover and came across the Jetman application. Jetman is a simple game where you press down your mouse button to move up and release to move down. The only thing you need to do is avoid obstacles that come your way. It is as simple as that.

Ted Suzman brought up a good point in the comments of my post from yesterday about how much time people spend on Facebook. He stated that Facebook has replaced AddictingGames.com and I think he is correct. When people are bored, they can simply go to Facebook and play an additicting game, or interact with their friends. While it isn’t revolutionizing society necessarily, it surely is helping us to waste a little more time. If you want to waste a little time, go grab the Jetman application.

Let Pets Battle on Facebook

Pet SabotageA crazy new game has been released on Facebook that allows you pick a pet, put it on your profile and then battle your friend’s pets. While I’ve seen similar applications to this one, Pet Sabotage has pretty cool looking characters and seems to have a few additional features. You can pick from a baby chick, a wild monkey, a lizard/dinosaur look alike, a man-like chicken, a platypus, a fish, and a tiger. I went with the monkey but was not lucky enough to do battle. Apparently none of my friends have added this application to their profile. You can feed your pet for health and build your pet’s tolerance to attacks by winning battles. If you or the pet you are battling is killed, they will be added to the pet cemetary. The attacks done in this game are not your typical attacks. You can give other pets wedgies, judo chop them, feed them worms and a variety of other random attacks. While I don’t consider this a very useful application it may be worth a few minutes of entertainment. If you want to battle against your friends’ pets go grab Pet Sabotage.

Play Nintendo On Facebook

Mario Bros. ScreenshotTired of playing games on your XBox 360, Playstation 3, or on your computer? Bring back the 80s with the original Nintendo NES. The Free NES application, created by Lance Strish, provides hundreds of Nintendo games. Some of my favorites are on there such as all the Megaman games, Mario 3, Castlevania, and Zelda. The only issue that I had when running the application was that sound can make game play a little choppy. Aside from that it was pretty decent game play. Instead of the classing “A” and “B” buttons that are on the original Nintendo Game controller, you use the “Z” and “X” buttons. Additionally, the buttons are switched around since the directional keypad is on the right hand side. I’m not sure if a gamepad would work with this, but if it did it would be pretty sweet. I have an original Nintendo sitting in my apartment. Any other NES fans out there? If you want to play Nintendo on Facebook, go grab the Free NES application.

Show Off Your XBox Stats

Xbox Live App ScreenshotWant your Xbox stats on your profile? Thanks to Nicholas Pike and Jason Laver, now you can! While we already covered the ability to join the Wii community on Facebook, this application extends it to one of the other popular gaming platforms. The only app left is something that integrates into Playstation 3. While I’m not a huge gamer myself, this application is pretty useful for those that want to show off their stats. Back when I used to play Halo, I used to get rocked by top notch gamers that I didn’t stand a chance against. I’m guessing that those are the same people that will enjoy showing off their stats directly from their Facebook profile. If you are one of those gamers that loves playing XBox online, go grab the XBox Live application.

1,2,3,4 I Declare a Poke War

Poke Wars LogoI absolutely hate writing about games on this blog because there are so many of them in the application directory! I stumbled upon this one today though and I have to admit that it’s pretty catchy. Poke Wars allows you to challenge your friends to a poke war. How does a poke war take place? Well the goal is to respond to pokes as quick as possible. Each player starts with 36 hours on their poke timer. Once you are poked the timer starts counting down. As soon as you return the poke, the timer stops. Pretty simple. If your timer is the first to run out of time, you lose. While this game is extremely simple, I think it is a pretty cool concept. So if you think you are quick about replying to pokes, go grab the Poke Wars application. If you want, feel free to challenge me to a war. You will surely lose!

Review Wii Games With Wiitube

WiiTubeAre you a Wii fan? Want a single source to rate and review Wii games? Thanks to my friend AJ Vaynerchuk, now you can! There are already thousands of reviews for Wii games built into this application. Also, for all you Wii fans, there are more features over at the Wiitube website. What I found particularly cool about this application is the huge list of classic Nintendo games that are playable on the Wii. Want to find out more about the application? Go check out the Wiitube application now!

Have a Wii? Want some friends?

Wii Friends LogoJustin Waldron has made an application that connects Wii players around the world. Wii has multiplayer capabilities via the internet but as of now doesn’t have an easy way of connecting with other players. This application is aiming to bridge the gap. Wii Friends allows you to easily share and find your “Wii Friend Code” or game codes to enable online interaction and gameplay with other facebook users. Once you get another player’s “Wii number” you can challenge them or invite them to a game. So if you are a Wii enthusiast go grab the Wii friends application.
