The Paul Ceglia saga is the gift that keeps on giving when it comes to amusement, and the latest chuckle comes in the form of an email address Facebook accused him of concealing during the proceedings: getzuck@gmail.com. Subtle.
CNET reported that Facebook’s forensics experts discovered that email address, along with three others — landlubber39@yahoo.com, paulc@hush.com, and alleganypellets@gmail.com — and the social network filed a motion asking the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York to okay subpoenas giving lawyers permission to study the accounts.
Dean Boland, Ceglia’s latest attorney, emailed Facebook’s representation and offered signed consent forms for landlubber39@yahoo.com and paulc@hush.com, according to CNET, but there was no mention of the other two email addresses.
Ceglia’s case claiming that he is the co-owner of Facebook continues along its downward spiral. Hits Ceglia has taken over the past few months include:
- Being ordered to pay $75,766.70 in legal fees to Facebook earlier this month;
- A $5,000 civil contempt fine for obstructing one of U.S. Magistrate Judge Leslie G. Foschio’s orders by failing to provide Facebook with information about his personal email account;
- An order that he return from his sketchy trip to Ireland;
- Facebook’s proof that Ceglia fabricated evidence; and
- Several law firms dropping his case like a hot potato.
