Android Updates: Chat Heads Added To Facebook Messenger, Home Permissions To Flagship App

The Chat Heads feature of Facebook’s Home overlay for Android was added to the Facebook Messenger application for that platform, and the social network also added permissions for Home to its flagship Android app.

The update for Messenger in the Google Play store described the addition of Chat Heads under its “What’s New” tab:

Keep chatting even when you’re using other apps. Just tap the chat head to reply, drag down to close.

As for the Facebook Android app, new permissions for Facebook Home were mentioned under the What’s New tab, and Blink Vice President of Planning and Media Eti Suruzon also pointed out that the process of reporting bugs was made easier for users, giving them the ability to provide more details, as well.
