Collins Dictionaries Adds ‘Facebooking’

It may not be Webster’s New Millennium Dictionary, but Collins Dictionaries officially recognized “facebooking” as a word.

According to VentureBeat, facebooking made the cut after topping 4,400 submissions, as Collins began crowdsourcing entries for its dictionaries in mid-July.

Other words that were added to Collins Dictionaries, as reported by VentureBeat, include:

  • bashtag
  • BBM
  • Bing
  • bridezilla
  • captcha
  • crowdfunding
  • cyberstalking
  • FaceTime
  • fanboy
  • frenemy
  • hyperconnectivity
  • livestream
  • photobomb
  • thanx
  • twitterer

“Mobydickulous” and “Tebowing,” however, were left off Collins’ list, for now, VentureBeat reported.
