Dachis Group has just acquired Powered Inc., making one of the biggest social media consultancies even bigger.
The acquisition includes Powered’s subsidiaries StepChange Group, Drillteam and Crayon. Together they bring some pretty heavy-hitting brand names as customers, including Kraft, Target and Toys “R” Us, to name just a few.
This acquisition follows last month’s buys of Archival and Stuzo, both of them Facebook preferred developers. Powered subsidiary StepChange also has this status.
Dachis now has 220 employees spread across ten cities in five countries. And while it may seem like Dachis Group has a hand in all of the largest brands’ pages on Facebook — as founder and Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Dachis has been able to bring clientele from his previous vennture, Razorfish — the development agency officially has just over 15 percent of Fortune 500 companies as customers.
Dachis Group’s customers before today’s acquisition include AT&T, Citibank, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and Viacom, among many other corporate giants. A number of them, like Hewlett-Packard and Nike, are also customers of Powered Inc. subsidiaries.
Which companies do you foresee Dachis acquiring next, if any? And what’s your opinion of the work done by these agencies?
