Dateline Chatline Incorporates Facebook, Twitter Into NBC News’ ‘Dateline’

NBC News primetime newsmagazine “Dateline” will integrate Facebook and other social networks into each evening’s broadcast with its launch of interactive digital platform Dateline Chatline.

Dateline Chatline will provide “Dateline” viewers with one location for all online discussion about stories airing on the newsmagazine from Facebook, as well as Twitter, GetGlue, and the show’s website.

Anchor, Lester Holt will interact with viewers via Dateline Chatline, as well as, correspondents Chris Hansen, Hoda Kotb, Josh Mankiewicz, Keith Morrison, and Dennis Murphy, and the newsmagazine’s producers and production staff.

The platform will go live during the show’s broadcast Friday at 9 p.m. ET.
