Design Banner Ad, Win Scholarship Via Facebook Contest

The International Academy of Design and Technology came up with a unique way to award scholarships, with a little help from current and potential students and Facebook page builder ShortStack.

In the IADT Design Challenge, which runs through December 10, students who have graduated from high school, earned a GED, or will fulfill either requirement by July 1 are tasked with designing a banner ad for one of four IADT programs, which must include the school’s logo, a headline, and a call to action. The contest was created using ShortStack.

Voting on the IADT Facebook page will determine 24 finalists. A panel of IADT judges will then choose two first-place winners, who will receive $5,000 scholarships to the school, and 10 runners-up, each of whom will be awarded $1,000 scholarships.

IADT has nine campuses in Chicago Detroit, Las Vegas, Nashville, Orlando, Sacramento, San Antonio, Seattle, and Tampa.
