A Tree Grows In New York, And It’s Digital And Full Of Instagram Images

DigitalInstagramHolidayTree650The lobby of The Carlton Hotel in New York is the home of the first-ever digital Instagram holiday tree, a joint initiative by the hotel, social marketing platform PromoJam, Caravan Stylist Studio, and 30 top fashion designers.

The tree displays Instagram photos of holiday ornament created by New York-based fashion designers including Nanette Lepore, Anna Sui, Nicole Miller, Malia Mills, Hunter Dixon, Shoshana, and Made in NYC.

Instagram users can also submit their own holiday-inspired moments for potential addition to the tree by using the hashtag #MadeinNYCHoliday, and submissions can also be shared via Facebook.

All of the designers’ ornaments displayed on the digital tree are available for $30 each, with proceeds going to nonprofit organization Save the Garment Center, which is focused on preserving the Garment District in New York.
