Musicians Who Share Facebook App Get Tracks Registered With Spotify

Up-and-coming musical artists have a great incentive to share a new Facebook application from Ditto Music: If they share the app with three Facebook friends, Ditto will register one track they submitted on Spotify, free of charge.

Ditto said artists who have used its distribution platform include Paul McCartney, Suzi Quatro, Prince, Ed Sheeran, and Maverick Sabre, adding that more than 30,000 artists worldwide use its service to distribute music online to Spotify, iTunes, and Amazon.

Ditto Chief Executive Officer Lee Parsons said:

Spotify is an amazing platform, and this is a way of giving artists, especially those on a tight budget, the opportunity to gain access to such a massive potential audience. It’s giving the artists a cost-effective way to get their music out there, and it’s helping us to spread the word about the great service we have to offer. So we see this as a real win-win situation.
