Facebook Promotes Close Friends List With ‘Don’t Miss The Good Stuff’ Banner

Facebook is continuing to test ways to drive users to take advantage of the close friends list in its smart friend lists, with some users seeing a banner across the top of their homepages promoting the feature.

The banner reads:

Don’t miss the good stuff: Star your close friends to see more of the important moments in their lives. (Friends won’t know you’ve starred them.)

Thumbnails and names of eight friends appear under the text, along with a dialog box that allows users to add specific friends.

Readers: Have you seen the “Don’t miss the good stuff” banner on your homepages?

Thank you to Ticular Principal Ulrike Ruppelt for the tip and screen shots.
