Ability To Edit Posts, Comments; Emoticons For Status Updates Tested In Facebook For Android Beta 3.7

The ability to edit posts and comments, and the addition of emoticons to status updates are the most prominent features added to version 3.7 of Facebook for Android beta, which was released Thursday.

Facebook announced the new release in a post on its Facebook for Android Beta Testers page, saying that other new features include:

  • The ability to see upcoming events on pages at a glance.
  • The ability to share and create photo albums.
  • Fixes to bugs and other problems causing the application to crash.
  • The “show on lockscreen” setting is visible again.
  • Improvements to photo loading in News Feed.
  • Improvements to News Feed load time.

Facebook also noted that it was still working on the issue of the most recent setting on News Feed not sticking.
