Esurance Will Send One Facebook User To SXSW

Looking for a way to get to this year’s South by Southwest Music, Film, and Interactive Conference March 8 to 17 in Austin, Texas? If you are adept at telling stories via social media, Esurance may have you covered.

The personal auto insurance outfit announced its SXSW Dream Gig Facebook contest, which will send the grand-prize winner to the confab in Austin to work on daily highlight videos that will appear on the Esurance Facebook page.

Interested Facebook users have until Jan. 25 to like the Esurance page and enter the contest, with judges set to select three finalists by Feb. 4. Those finalists will then create short videos explaining why they should get the gig, which will appear on the page Feb. 15 to 22, where users of the social network will vote for the best one.

The winner will receive a platinum badge for SXSW, a new iPad, a 10-day stay at the Hilton Austin, and a $2,000 stipend.
