Quit banging your iPad and hoping that Facebook’s new timeline profile will appear: You’ll have to wait until sometime in January.
9to5Mac reported that the social network is shooting for a mid- to late-January launch of timeline on its application for the Apple iPad tablet, after postponing the originally planned December release due to last-minute bugs.
The iPad was the last platform to get an official Facebook app, with users impatiently waiting months, so it’s no surprise that it will be the last to see timeline. In Facebook’s defense, however, the advanced graphics and touch-screen capabilities of the tablet likely require more sophisticated coding than its smartphone apps.
Timeline came to Apple siblings the iPhone and iPod Touch earlier this month, along with Facebook’s subscribe and smart friend lists features and improvements to photo management.
