Facebook To Announce 1Q 2013 Financial Results May 1

Facebook has been a busy company in the past fiscal quarter, launching a redesigned News Feed and Timeline. The social netwoek will share how it did financially during its first-quarter earnings call May 1.

Facebook announced Monday that the company will share its first quarter results and make forward-thinking statements about the future at 2 p.m. PT on Wednesday, May 1.

It will be interesting to see how Facebook has done in the first fiscal quarter of the year, but the results from the social network’s implementation of a rebuilt News Feed might not be evident until its second-quarter report. Still, it is likely that Facebook Co-Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, as well as Chief Financial Officer David Ebersman and Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg, will try to answer investors’ worries and questions regarding the new programs.

Facebook has also been making serious pushes toward becoming more advertiser-friendly, especially on mobile. At the last quarterly earnings call, Zuckerberg announced that most people access Facebook from their mobile devices, whether smart phones, feature phones, or tablets.

Zuckerberg may also elaborate more on Graph Search, which is still in its infancy.
