Facebook Testing Opening Of Facebook.com Links By Android App?

Facebook appears to be using the latest beta version of its Android application to quietly test allowing the app to open facebook.com links, according to a report by Android Police.

Version 3.5 of the Android beta app contains coding that allows the app to open facebook.com links, according to Android police, but only those that begin with “n,” likely for notifications. Android Police added that version 3.4 does not contain that coding.

Android Police wrote:

The support is very limited so far — in fact, only links that start with facebook.com/n (n stands for notifications, presumably) are being handled at the moment. This means that something like http://www.facebook.com/AndroidPolice or https://www.facebook.com/AndroidPolice/posts/563640527014898 won’t work just yet.
