Facebook commerce is fantastic in theory, but without a diverse selection of goods and services to offer, customers won’t practice it.
Recognizing that, social shopping platform sneakpeeq announced the addition of more than 300 brands since launching in May this year.
This vendor, which insists its name doesn’t take an initial capital letter, promises an element of intrigue for Facebook shopping.
When users click the peeq button to discover the price of an item, the price drops, as it does every time someone clicks the button. However, once a customer purchases the item, all discounting stops.
Shoppers can also see what other members have clicked peeq on and bought, as well as share advice on goods being offered.
The platform is currently available only via Facebook Connect. Applicationss for the Apple iPhone and iPad, plus the Android, are being developed.
The brands that were added to the platform include:
- Apparel: Mark + James by Badgley Mischka and BB Dakota;
- Jewelry and accessories: Nicole Miller and Trina Turk;
- Gourmet treats: 479 Popcorn and Kusmi Tea; plus
- Housewares and décor: Chalkboard China and Jessie Steele.
