Network Solutions is taking aim at marketing on Facebook by teaming up with North Social to launch Fan Page Marketing.
Fan Page Marketing taps the capabilities of North Social’s Facebook app platform to offer brands, small businesses, individuals, and organizations access to a suite of 18 viral apps for a flat fee.
The apps include promotions, sweepstakes, deals, videos, photos, exclusive content, e-commerce, donations, volunteering, and sharing to Twitter.
The Starter cost model for Fan Page Marketing is available for $19.99 per month, and it covers all of the apps, one fan page, and up to 1,000 fans. For $29.99, the Basic package increases the fan limit to 5,000 and adds the option of making the pages free of ads.
North Social, which was acquired by marketing and public-relations software company Vocus in February, said its apps have been installed more than 100,000 times by companies including, Virgin America, Sony Music, Greenpeace, Electronic Arts, and Hyatt.
Techies consider Network Solutions the original domain-name registrar, so the partnership seems to give significant “street cred” to North Social while helping the seller of web addresses gain a foothold on Facebook
