The event will be hosted by Power Balance and set up by Big Air Studios and Facebook commerce provider Milyoni.
Archie’s Final Project debuted in theaters in September, and the film, directed by David Lee Miller, has won more than 20 awards at film festivals. Its Facebook page has also attracted more than 23,000 fans.
Dawson has been touting the film since its release, teaming up with Gabriel Sunday, who starred in Archie’s Final Project, to lead Internet meme IAmAnArchie, aimed at helping teens to deal with daily struggles.
Milyoni’s Social Life technology will allow viewers to chat with each other and with Dawson during the Facebook screening. Fans can also comment on, tag, and share clips on the Archie’s Final Project Facebook page.
Big Air Studios said the screening will be the first of a series of films it will stream on Facebook, which it calls its “Social Cinema Series.”
And host Power Balance said it will donate $1 from every purchase of its merchandise, including its Performance Technology silicon wristband, to teen suicide hotline and advocacy group Teen Line.
Readers, have you ever participated in a live chat during a film screening on Facebook?
