INFOGRAPHIC: How Finland Uses Facebook

Finland may be one of the most technologically advanced nations in Europe, but only seven percent of the country is considered to be among the most active users of Facebook. That’s in an infographic by network analyst Verkostoanatomia and public-relations outfit Hill + Knowlton.

The two companies mined data from more than 1,000 Finnish Facebook pages, each with at least 1,000 fans, and surveyed their administrators during November and December. Among the more interesting results:

  • To rank among the top 50 pages in Finland, you need 100,000 fans.
  • Facebook pages in Finland are most active at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. local time.
  • Men are less active on Facebook than women are, and the more a page tries to engage them, the lower their activity levels drop.
