Mark Zuckerberg, Sheryl Sandberg Salute Oldest Facebook User

We know that seniors make up a sizable portion of Facebook’s membership. Even centenarians are active on the social network. Facebook Co-Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg took some time Monday to meet the oldest user on the site — 101-year-old Florence Detlor of Menlo Park, Calif.

Sandberg posted this to her page:

Honored to meet Florence Detlor, who, at 101 years old, is the oldest registered Facebook user. Thank you for visiting us, Florence!

The post has gained more than 4,800 likes and 470 shares. Some users commented that they’ll consider getting their older relatives onto the social network.
