Facebook For Android 3.4 Beta Adds Folders To Home

The Facebook for Android beta-testing program is apparently off to a brisk start, as CNET reported that shortly after the initiative was introduced Thursday, a feature Home users have been clamoring for was added to the beta version of Facebook for Android 3.4: application folders for the Android overlay.

According to CNET, the folders feature on Home allows users to drag app icons on top of one another to create folders, name the folder, and add them to their app drawers for quicker access.

Other new features in Facebook for Android 3.4 include:

  • Users can share News Feed photos in private messages.
  • Users can swipe left and right to open chat and bookmarks.
  • The app can be stored on users’ SD cards for Android 2.3.7 and lower.
