Virtually every Facebook user is familiar with applications that allow users to send their friends virtual gifts, including drinks, smiles, and whatnot. If you still find a use for these apps, you may be attracted to The Mural.
The Mural features virtual gifts that users can send to their friends, with many of them free-of-charge (smiley, sunshine, cupcake), but some costing as much as 100 Facebook Credits (diamond ring, bouquet of red roses).
Users can also create dedications for their friends, costing between 20 and 100 Facebook Credits, as a way to express love, birthday wishes, or other sentiments.
Developer Mondico provided the following description of The Mural:
The Mural is a brand new Facebook app that is a wonderful virtual expression of peace, love, and happiness. Mondico just launched this amazing app for users to place virtual plaques on the Mural of Love to honor a loved one, celebrate a milestone, or express love or admiration for someone you care for.
Users can also explore the Mural of Love to see what other users have created in order to feel connected to the community of love. It’s quickly growing and aims to become the largest public expression of love online in the near future.
Our take: Aren’t Facebook users over the concept of spending $10 on 100 Facebook Credits so their “loved ones” can see a picture of a diamond ring, or a bouquet of red roses, on the wall of an app?
