Newt Gingrich just debut a new Facebook page focused on attacking Mitt Romney’s record.

Gingrich was the first of the presidential candidates to launch a timeline on his personal profile, while none of the Republican contenders have adapted timeline to their official pages.
However, a campaign strategist says that won’t last for long. The campaign plans on adding timeline to Gingrich’s self-branded page in a matter of days.
President Barack Obama unveiled a timeline on his reelection’s Facebook page shortly after the feature was made available to pages last week.
Gingrich digital strategist Vincent Harris tell us that the anti-Romney Facebook page is “the first use of timeline by a major candidate in a contrasting way.”
Harris says that using Facebook features like pages and timeline in this way is a trend that will continue during the campaign because “they serve as a fantastic visual way to highlight someone’s history in a format Americans are familiar with.”
Plus, Harris adds, Facebook is free. Gingrich, Ron Paul and Rick Santorum have less money than Romney; but the playing field somewhat levels itself on the social network, where pages and cost-effective advertising can target voters and expand support.
