While many are anticipating an official Facebook iPad application, a new application for the iPad is pretty close to what you’d imagine an official Facebook iPad app to look like. The Friendly Facebook browser includes access to your feed, profile, inbox, requests, and events. While Facebook Page administrators may not find the application to be as useful, this is the most Facebook-like iPad application we’ve found to date.
While you could just as easily log in to Facebook with the Safari browser, there are plenty of users that want a standalone application. Facebook has previously suggested that the company is working on an iPad application, however it’s not clear how soon the application will be rolled out. In the meantime, numerous app developers are building various application to make it easy to browse through the popular social networking site.
While $4.99 is relatively expensive in comparison to other iPad applications, I’m sure there are plenty of people who will find this application to be useful.
