Facebook Launches Friendship Pages To Visualize Relationships

Did you ever want an easy way to visualize the relationship between you and somebody else on Facebook? Starting today users will be able to do exactly that with the help of a new “Friendship Pages” feature.

The Friendship pages “contain the public Wall posts and comments between two friends, photos in which both are tagged,” Events the two RSVP’d to and more. The page was the result of one of Facebook’s regular all-nigh hackathons. While we haven’t been able to find any friendship pages of ourselves yet, users can navigate to the pages by clicking a link on relevant feed stories and under the profile photo of a friend.

While we’d assume that the feature hasn’t been rolled out completely yet, there’s no doubt that it will be in coming days. It’s an effort to enable users to visualize their relationships and have a place for shared memories. The feature also makes me think that Facebook is becoming a site to share the memories and experiences of our lives. It will be interesting to see what users think of this new feature.
