Tying deals and coupons to Facebook likes is nothing new, as Momentus Media and others have done so with apps introduced earlier this year. Now, LikeBids has joined the fray, with a very similar offering.
LikeBids allows marketers on Facebook to offer coupons to prospective customers, triggered when posts attract a predetermined number of likes on the social network.
In addition to liking the posts, Facebook users can also click the LikeBid button, which shares the post via Facebook and other social networks.
Users receive one LikeBid for every time one of their friends or contacts likes the coupon, and the “Top LikeBidder” wins the product or service being discounted.
LikeBids said it has more than 60 online affiliates, as well as established relationships with over 50 influential bloggers, and marketing partnerships with social media applications such as MarketMeSuite.
What have your experiences been with Facebook marketing applications that encourages users to like and compete for coupons and discounts?
