Facebook Live Will Feature Senator John Cornyn 4/12

U.S. Senator John Cornyn, a Texas Republican, will visit Facebook’s Washington D.C. office on Tuesday, April 12, for a half-hour livestream interview beginning at 3 pm eastern standard time.

Cornyn will discuss how members of Congress can use Facebook and other social media services to connect with constituents, interact with colleagues, and inform other interested parties about their activities in Washington and at home.

His announced visit to Facebook’s Washington D.C. office comes one day after President Barack Obama announced his plans to host a town hall from the social network’s Palo Alto headquarters on April 20. Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg and Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg will also appear on the executive branch’s livestream, possibly fielding questions about the economy and other queries that users are being asked to submit via the White House’s webpage and its page on Facebook.
