Social gaming applications kick off November as fastest growing applications on Facebook. Gamers are flocking to Zynga’s latest and edgiest release, Mafia Wars 2. Also popular this week are King.com’s Bubble Witch Saga and 6waves’ Ravenskye City.

Games

Zynga’s latest and edgiest release, Mafia Wars 2, is the biggest hit on Facebook this week. It ranks first, with 3,800,000 new players this week.

Also helping Zynga stay popular is the developer’s Game Bar, although it’s down six places from last week, ranking seventh with 700,000 additions this week.

Texas HoldEm Poker stays strong in 14th picking up 400,000 virtual card players.

More than likely a result of kinks still being worked out with Facebook’s new application metrics, King.com’s Bubble Witch Saga rebounds to second place this week, with 1,000,000 adds moving the app up nine places in our rankings.

It’s questionable whether the 6 wave-created Ravenskye City will maintain its momentum, but for now 442,220 additions this week puts the app in ninth. And Social Empires – from developer Social Point – ranks 20th, with 300,000 new users this week.

Page Tabs

Woobox’s Static Iframe Tab was added by 1,000,000 people, keeping the application in third place for two weeks in a row. With a tabs built and view total of 900,000 this week, Pagemodo Custom Welcome Tab moves up to fourth on the list.

In eighth place, competitor Welcome tab app for Pages has 500,000 new users this week. Wildfire’s iFrames for Pages moves down three places from last week, to finish in 11th, with 400,000 new users. And Welcome comes in 18th with 300,000 new tabs and views.

Facebook Connect

Scribd finishes in fifth this week, with 800,000 adds helps it nab the fifth spot. Skype shows up in 13th place, with 400,000 additions this week.

Red Bull Home Tab comes in 15th, this week getting 320,000 people to log in using Facebook Connect. And TripAdvisor makes a first-time appearance on our list, in 17th place, with 300,000 adds.

Just For Fun

MyCalendar – Birthdays comes in sixth, with 800,000 additiosn this week. My Photos+ is new to our rankings, coming in 10th place with 400,000 adds.

Moving up six places to finish in 12th,Banner de perfil en espagnol has 400,000 adds this week. RockYou’s Horoscopescomes in 16th, with 320,000 adds.

Now that Halloween is over, it is likely we will continue to see declining totals for Disfrázate. This week the app ranks 19th, with 300,000 new users.
