There Is No 'A' In French Facebook Meme Protesting S&P

Who needs the letter “a?” There are plenty of others. At least that’s the premise behind the latest Facebook meme, this one by way of France.

What’s this all about? Financial ratings firms Fitch and Standard & Poor’s are evaluating the country’s current credit rating of “AAA” and will likely downgrade it, so French Facebook users have decided to stop using the letter “a” for a few weeks.

As a result, many creative French Facebook users have posted brand logos and posters that are modified to remove the offending letter.

Readers, do you think a company like Standard & Poor’s will even notice this campaign, let alone change its rating of France?
