If you felt overloaded seeing up to seven ads in your Facebook window, you might want to stop reading now. According to our sister blog, Inside Facebook, the social network is testing a way to show up to 10 ads at once.
Inside Facebook’s Brittany Darwell received a tip that Facebook is likely planning to go with quantity over quality. This news come just months after Facebook placed six ads on the page, and then increased that to seven. Although it’s not official yet, it looks like 10 could be the future for advertising.

Darwell said this format has been showing up after a user clicks a permalink to a post that has a lot of activity, as opposed to getting to a post through the news feed. Facebook’s Help Center still maintains that no more than six ads will show up.
Of course, this all comes on the heels of Facebook’s poor post-initial public offering reception. The company has been trying several ways to increase revenue, and this could be another avenue for Facebook to show that it can make money.
