Bud Light Facebook Page Pours Super Bowl Contest

Can’t afford tickets and transportation to Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis February 5? There’s always the “Want to Be the Next Bud Light Correspondent?” contest from Bud Light.

The beer brand launched a contest on its Facebook page in which entrants upload 30-second videos explaining why they should cover the big game for Bud Light. Entries will be accepted through January 20.

Fans can like their favorite videos on the social network, and those likes will be factored into the choice of a winner, along with how the contestants present themselves in the videos.

The winner will cover Super Bowl XLVI from the Bud Light Hotel, a 180-room hotel in downtown Indianapolis renovated by Bud Light parent Anheuser-Busch; and he or she will appear in videos for the Bud Light Facebook and YouTube pages, including red-carpet and behind-the-scenes interviews at the EA Sports and Playboy Super Bowl parties.

Bud Light Senior Director Mike Sundet told Mashable:

We want to make it all about the fans. We didn’t want to make it a corporate deal.
