Facebook Brings Photo Uploading To Plain Cell Phones

Now there’s no such thing as a mobile phone being too simple to upload photos to Facebook; this capability is now possible on 2,500 different cellular models.

Facebook for Every Phone lets feature phones (meaning simpler devices than smartphones) upload photos to the social network for the first time ever; a video explaining the upgrade appears beneath this post.

To make it easier for feature phone users to try this new application, Facebook has negotiated a 90-day free data access period with a number of carriers around the world.

To download the app, visit Facebook’s mobile website. And for a more in-depth analysis of the social network’s mobile strategy, check out what our friend Josh Constine has just written on the subject.

Have you had a chance to try the new Facebook for All Phones update? And what’s the quality of the photo uploading experience on your mobile device?
