The social network formally unveiled the new page insights two days ago and subsequently released a detailed guide to this new set of features. Today the Facebook marketing solutions page posted a note saying:
We released a few new metrics in page insights. Place owners are now able to see the number of times people checked in or claimed a deal at their place. Please check out the updated page insights guide for more information.
Regardless of whether these metrics just got added or were already part of the new page insights announced two days ago, having additional measurements may help businesses cost justify resources devoted to pages and figure out how well a deal performed. That might entice more companies to create pages and offer deals.
Have you taken a gander at the new page insights? What about the numbers showing check-ins and deals claimed?
