Facebook Posts Take Users Behind The Scenes At GOP Convention

With the Republican National Convention officially beginning Tuesday in Tampa, Fla., the phalanx of politicos in town is taking to Facebook to share status updates from a range of activities, including fundraising events, delegation meet and greets, and speech preparations.

The photos, links, and comments mean Facebookers are getting a peek behind the curtain at the Super Bowl for politicians, aka the GOP convention. Facebook Manager of Policy Katie Harbath compiled this handy list on the social network highlighting status updates from each convention speaker.

Here’s a look at some of the Facebook posts from today’s lineup of speakers, including Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.), Gov. Mary Fallin (R-Okla.), Gov. Bob McDonnell (R-Va.), and Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio).
