Pepsi, SavingStar Team Up On Nov. Facebook Promotion

Facebook users can quench their thirst and take advantage of a special offer without needing to print a coupon thanks to a promotion for Diet Pepsi and Pepsi Max powered by the supermarket loyalty card service called SavingStar.

Interested and thirsty Facebook users can go to the brand pages for Diet Pepsi or Pepsi Max, where they will be prompted to enter the information on their loyalty cards from more than 100 grocery and drug chains including Albertsons, CVS, Kroger, Rite-Aid, and Stop & Shop.

Shoppers who buy Diet Pepsi or Pepsi Max during the month of November and use their loyalty cards will have their purchases tracked and, once they spend $15 on the soft drinks, they will receive $5 credits that can be cashed in via direct deposit to any bank account or PayPal, an Amazon gift card, or a donation to nonprofit conservation organization American Forests.

SavingStar said more than one million users have activated grocery offers since the company’s April launch, via its website or apps for the iPhone and Android platforms, and Chief Executive Officer David Rochon added:

In today’s digital world, many shoppers want to save on grocery and drug store purchases, but don’t have the time or desire to print or clip paper coupons. Paper methods of delivering and tracking rewards are also costly for brands and cumbersome for consumers. Our technology provides an elegant loyalty solution, making it simple and convenient for consumers to earn rewards and choose payout options that fit their lifestyle. We’re thrilled to partner with Pepsi on this groundbreaking offer.
