Facebook Dominates Social Content Sharing At SXSW

Facebook was the dominant social media platform for sharing content from South By Southwest 2012, accounting for 28 percent of shares via AddThis.

That compares with 19 percent for Twitter and just one percent apiece for Google Plus and Pinterest, according to data from Clearspring’s AddThis.

AddThis also found that mobile social application Path was generating the most buzz at SXSW, along with Forecast, Highlight, Sonar, and Banjo.

Meanwhile, social media influence measurer Swaylo profiled the typical SXSW attendee’s choices in TV, music, entertainment, and other interests, in the infographic below.
