Well over 1.2 million different websites link to Facebook, which currently ranks second for U.S. web traffic on Alexa.
That’s one of the highlights in an infographic from Make Use Of, which, alas, does have some glaringly outdated data — like lowballing Facebook’s membership by 50 percent. Most people already know the site has 750 million users.
Another serious inaccuracy: load times. The average page on Facebook loads in three quarters of a second, a heck of a lot faster than the tortoiselike pace of 2.025 seconds listed in the infographic — it’s also mistaken in saying that 68 percent of websites have faster page loading times when the average is 2.42 seconds, according to AlertSite.
Now what you see here is just a portion of the infographic, which actually has comparisons with five other websites. Our esteemed colleague Shea Bennett of AllTwitter analyzes the full rendering by Make Use Of. Let us know what you think of the whole shebang by posting in the comments section beneath this post.
