Facebook Pushes Privacy Education For Updated News Feed Users

Many users feel that Facebook isn’t doing enough with regard to educating them on their privacy settings. It appears that the social network is trying to do more in this field, as users who have the redesigned News Feed were prompted to review their privacy settings recently.

Some users with the redesigned News Feed saw this prompt on the top-left corner of their screens:

Clicking the lock symbol led to this screen:

Users can then drill down to easily control different settings, such as who can see posts and who can contact them. Additionally, users can easily block and unfriend other users from this menu, if they’re being pestered.

The “See More Settings” link leads users to the full privacy settings menu screen. This can also be accessed via the triangle on the top-right corner of the screen, by clicking the triangle, then clicking settings, and going to the privacy menu.
