Facebook Spoof Nominated For Webby Award

The viral hit video “The Man Without a Facebook” has been nominated for a Webby Award.

This is the second Webby nomination we’ve encountered that involves something removed from Facebook, although admittedly the video is a satire about someone not using the social network at all.

The other example of something removed from Facebook that’s up for a Webby is a timeline profile that got taken down for not representing a real person. It was created before timeline was available for brand pages, so it’s quite possible that the nominated campaign might return as a page, assuming that’s the desire of the sponsor, an Israeli anti-drug campaign.

As for the latest nomination of something dealing with not being on the social network, “The Man Without A Facebook” provides a humorous commentary that — well, see for yourself in the video embed at the bottom of this post.
