A timeline page commissioned by the Israel Anti-Drug Authority was nominated for a Webby Award in the “best use of social media” category, even the profile was removed by Facebook for not representing a real person.
McCann Erickson Tel Aviv created the “IADA: Drugs Set Your Timeline” Facebook campaign.
The centerpiece of the campaign is a profile for fictional Facebook user Adam Barak, using timeline’s two-column format, with the left-hand column displaying images of Barak under the influence of drugs, and the photos in the right-hand column portraying him as clean and sober.
Voting for the Webbys People’s Voice Awards, part of the 16th Annual Webby Awards, is open through April 26.
