Have a snack, and acquire some virtual in-game items on Facebook while you’re at it, thanks to a new partnership between PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay North America division, Zynga and Walmart.

Through April 12, the purchase of specially marked Frito-Lay snacks will allow Facebook users and game-players to redeem on-package codes for exclusive virtual items in Zynga’s FarmVille, CastleVille, and CityVille.

In addition, users who redeem four different on-package codes, as well as $15 or $25 Zynga game cards, will receive an unspecified “super item.”

The specially marked packages will be available at more than 3,400 Walmart stores nationwide; the chips in the promotion include Lay’s Classic, Doritos Nacho Cheese, Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream, Cheetos Crunchy, and Funyuns.
